Bluestar offers online tour

Go-Ahead’s Bluestar has created a ‘Google Tour’ of one of its latest buses. The Eastleigh based operator’s online tour allows Google Maps’ users to see onboard the vehicle using the street view function of the online mapping specialist. The operator has also used Google Maps to give people a 360 degree view inside its travel shop.

Bluestar Operations Manager, Paul Coyne, said, ‘We like to think we’re at the forefront of the latest bus technology, we were among the first in the country to install free Wi-Fi and USB charging points for our customers. So we thought what better way to show off our brand new Bluestar 18 buses than to offer a Google Tour of one of them? Anyone wanting to get a look at one of our new fleet of buses can view the inside and outside of one of our vehicles on their computer or hand held device, just by visiting Google Maps and typing “Bluestar Travel Shop”. We invested more than £3m in these new vehicles and we’re incredibly proud of them. Now people can preview them before travelling with us across this popular route.’
