Arriva’s Surrey and Sussex service changes

Arriva is to make some changes to its buses in Surrey and West Sussex from 28 September. The operator is to introduce a number of improvements too, as well as some measures to improve reliability or to match the service provided more closely to demand. More buses will be laid on for Horsham, with the existing hourly frequency provided by Service 63 doubled to twice an hour by the addition of new Service 63X that will also run hourly and will give a quicker journey between Guildford, Cranleigh and Horsham. More buses will be run for Guildford commuters during the morning and evening peak periods on Mondays to Fridays. Evening buses between Manor Park, the university and Guildford town centre will be increased to run every 15 minutes until midnight on Mondays to Saturdays. A new weekly ticket for Merrow and Burpham is to be introduced. The new route 36/37 weekly fare of £15 will give unlimited travel for seven days on services 36 and 37 between Burpham, Merrow and Guildford town centre and rail station.
