Arriva invests in Greenline coaches

Arriva has invested £2.6m in 13 Mercedes-Benz Tourismos for its 757 Greenline service. The route serves Luton, Luton Airport and central London. The coaches feature free wifi and USB charging ports.

Area MD South at Arriva, Maq Alibhai, said: “This £2.6m investment in coaches reflects Arriva’s commitment to providing greener journeys for our passengers by using the latest technological advances in passenger transport.”

Daimler Buses has welcomed the purchase of the 13 Tourismos. General Manager, Mercedes-Benz Coach Sales at Daimler Buses EvoBus (UK) Ltd, Jonathan Prime, said: “This 13 vehicle order comes on the back of a highly successful demonstration program with Arriva in Luton. The Tourismo has proven its reliability along with impressive fuel economy during this period. The feedback has been very positive and we have worked closely with the team at Arriva to ensure that these new vehicles meet their requirements and we all look forward to seeing them operating on such a high-profile route.”
