Arriva better connects Magna Park

Arriva Buses has joined forces with IDI Gazeley to improve transport links to Lutterworth based Magna Park. The new X45 service launches on 3 April 2016 and will connect the distribution site with Lutterworth, Glen Parva, Narborough Road, Leicester city centre, Beaumont Leys and Thurmaston. Operating seven days a week, it has been designed to meet the needs of the many shift workers employed at the site. As well as providing fast and direct journeys to and from what is described as Europe’s largest dedicated distribution location, the X45 will also offer those employed there the opportunity to make savings using Arriva’s range of multi-journey tickets.

Arriva’s Area Manager in Leicester, Steve Smith, said, ‘We’re delighted to be working with Magna Park to open up access for the many people employed there. Our new service offers a simple, hassle free way to commute, whilst cutting down congestion on the roads in and around the site. It presents a great value for money option for commuters, whilst giving them back valuable ‘me time’ as they travel to and from work. People could even benefit from our innovative mobile apps which can allow them to not only track where their bus is on route, but also purchase tickets on their phones using our m-ticket.’
