59 next for New Routemasters

Bus route 59 is the latest on the TfL bus network to be fully served by New Routemasters. A phased conversion of the Arriva operated route started on 22 March and is expected to be completed in April 2016. The service runs from Brixton to King’s Cross via Kennington, Waterloo, Aldwych, Holborn, Russell Square and Euston. During peak hours, 26 of these buses will be in passenger service to carry the 25,000 people who travel on the route each weekday. Route 59 will operate with the rear platform closed when the bus is moving. To date, 20 bus routes in London are operating with New Routemasters.
